Definition of Research and Development

คำว่าการวิจัยและพัฒนาเป็นคำที่นักวิชาการคุ้นเคย บางครั้งเราจะนึกไปถึงการวิจัยและพัฒนาทางด้านธุรกิจ ผลิตภัณฑ์ และเทคโนโลยี แต่ความจริงนั้น การวิจัยและพัฒนาครอบคลุมในสาขาวิชาต่างๆได้อย่างกว้างขวางที่เดียว

วันนี้จึงขอยกนิยาม (ภาษาอังกฤษ) ของ คำว่าการวิจัยและพัฒนา ที่มีการอ้างอิงกันอย่างแพร่หลายในระดับสากลมาให้นักศึกษาได้ทราบ เพื่อนำไปใช้อย่างถูกต้องและสามารถอ้างอิงแหล่งที่มาที่มีความน่าเชื่อถือได้
